Services for Homless
The purpose of the SICIL homeless program is to provide services to help people who are residing in homeless shelters, warming centers or are without a permanent residence or at risk of losing a permanent residence obtain housing and the services necessary to maintain stable housing. Eligibility may be contingent on consumers available income.
Service Coordination
SICIL staff assist individuals to obtain services and resources that they need to create a stable affordable home for themselves and their family. Services may include training and budgeting and household management, referrals for benefits or support services, assistance with vocational endeavors, and addressing ongoing health risks associated with homelessness.
One Time Purchases
The Program seeks to build with the individual a healthy, affordable household that may include initial rent, payment of outstanding bills preventing rental agreements and/or utility deposits, furnishings and small appliances. Additionally, they will be assisted with assistive devices, and durable medial goods not covered by insurance.
